Lagniappe (lan-yap) is a term used in Louisiana that means “a little extra”. At Lagniappe Medical Coding Academy, we strive to provide the resources needed to our students so that they feel they have been given the “extra” tools needed to succeed in the medical coding industry.

Rachael Spillers is the owner and instructor for all of Lagniappe Medical Coding Academy's online courses. Rachael has obtained her RHIA and has been in the coding industry for over 10 years. She has a passion for teaching others to love medical coding as much as she does!
